It seems most of the important stuff is online right now. If you want to pay for your yearly membership or do a 1-year contract with monthly fee of $150 you can do that from our mindbody online account. You can also sign up for the February Elements workshops.
Also we would really appreciate it if you tried to sign up for classes in advance and come to the classes you signed up for.
The system just went up so if you are experiencing any malfunctions please let us know.
UPDATE 5:24PM: I realized that I am not allowed to sell yearly contracts online. So that option is available only when you come in person. Sorry. You can still pay for a whole year or buy class cards online. Also if you paid on paypal, I haven’t updated everyone yet so you might not be able to register for classes. Please let me know and I’ll update your status to paid for January and you should be able to sign up online. We’ll work out the kinks soon. Thanks for your patience.

Take a 95lb barbell
Deadlift it
Hang Power Clean it
Front Squat it
Push Press it
Lower it behind the head widen your grip
Snatch Grip Push Press it
Overhead Squat it
Lower it behind the head
Back Squat it
Behind the Neck Push Press it
Rack it and return it to the floor.
That’s ONE rep.

    Michelle – No major hand problems – the lower pull numbers were my giving up after not being about to reset a bad grip instead of riding it down into bloody flames. Did notice that I am picking up some swelling between thumb and forefinger as I get more into dips.

    Tuesdays Elements did Fran w/ 65# Thrusters. Did this 2 months ago to the tune of 9:30 or 9:40 and couldn’t move my arms for a week.
    New time: 7:04.
    Special thanks to Keith for two great kipping tutorials based off Adrian Bozman’s instruction vids on the main site. I went from 1 kipping pull-up to being able to get 10 in the matter of 2 days. Thanks Keith!

    I don’t think you can view that info. If the classes are full (I think I capped them to 12 people) you should get a message.
    If you go to the mindbody schedule. The first thing you do is log in, the second thing that you do is click on the sign up button. If you hit the sign up button first it takes you to a log in screen and then you log in and have to go back to the sign up screen and hit the sign up button.

    We’ll be going to sushi first and will get there at 730. I’m sure we’ll still be there at 815 if you’re still interested and there’s a 1010 showing of Cloverfield at the 42nd st Regal.
    If you haven’t read the board in the last few days:
    Hanami Sushi at 14th st and 6th ave at 730 and then whoever is interested in seeing Cloverfield afterwards. All are welcome.

    The informal plan is to start a trend of Rest Day Friday Night Out. Every fourth Friday is a Rest Day, and it seems that this might be the best time for Black Box people to get together for dinner, drinks, etc. If you’re a member of the Black Box community, you’re invited.
    (Next Rest Friday will be Feb 15.)

    A MindBody question: what’s the procedure for those of us who paid for January via the old PayPal system? The M/B site doesn’t seem to want to let me sign up for a class without paying for another month… which I’m hesitant to do because it seems like that would mean I’m double-paying for now through the end of January. I think? It also tells me that I am indebted for classes I signed into while at the box in the last couple of weeks.
    Should I just wait it out and start signing up officially in February?

    VERY happy with that, as it’s the first time I’ve gotten through all 20 minutes of the Beast. (only other time I tried it I gave up after dropping 4 out of the first 5 overhead squats I did…this time, I only dropped my very last one. yay.)

    Went over to CF Evolution today in Longwood, FL to say hi. Was asked if I wanted to work out and said no gotta take a rest day before PM seminar. Was told well do something light!! Yeah, sure, I ended up doing CJs, kipping pullup work both on the bar and rings.
    I was also asked if I have a MU yet (yeah, sure??!!). Well I was offered there MU tutorial with a harness and countered will a pulley and KB system. Kinda cool. I think we should rig up that system in NYC!! It really gives you the feeling of being up high in the top of the MU!

    Allison I am at the Oly seminar from Greg Everett and Aimee Anaya. Starts Sat! Just met 2 cool girls in from CF Vancouver and gonna have dinner with em. I picked them out in motel lobby as CFers from their well muscled arms and carrying grocery bags with fruits/veggies!!
    Never been to Mikes place but did speak with him! He told me he is usually there in the evening from “1730-1900 or so” (his exact words)! I am gonna train with him Feb 27/28 when I fly out for the CF Kids cert!!
    Have fun! You should try the MU thing I did today. Way cool!

    I wasn’t lowering the bar properly in the first few reps. As a result, I have a bruise at the base of my neck. Tyler corrected me and it got better but I was still a tad nervous every time I lowered the bar.

    i didn’t do the beast today due to ALL my muscles hurting, including the main one. Instead i talked to friends, for time :)
    unfortunately, i work nights, so i can’t make it out tonight, but i got a new job with the same “company” so my schedule is going to change soon and i will be able to make it to cf gatherings :) finally!
