Sorry for the delay in posting this morning, guys and gals. Typepad was down last night.
Anyway, here’s some help for today’s workout, from the CrossFit Brand X forums:
    Today everyones a Big Dawg!
If you have not done front squats before or have trouble with them, start light and work on your technique.

Yeah, what was up with that last night? Y’all were scaring my newbies!

I am reposting this today because I’m still psyched and because it was crazy early this morning that I added it to yesterday’s thread:
To anyone who’s been thinking about joining the CFE crew (or, perhaps more appropriately, anyone who HASN’T), I would like to offer my gratitude, zeal, and all around (re)commendation that you join the action.
Brian’s a great coach. Encouraging, observant, clear, and didn’t leave me to slog through the workout alone after I tanked early. Must. learn. pacing.
Thank you also to my inspiring cohorts Grace, Tony, Jim, and Rikke.
I’m psyched for the next one!

Also, in separate news, I have a follow-up to my weight-plates-in-shirt debacle.
Um, don’t kettlebell yourself in the cooch.

Allison, if your newbies can’t handle unbridled awesomeness, I don’t know what to tell ya! But I do concede that B3 works a little better for the ropes.

  • Sara

    115, 115, 115, 125, 125

  • Allison Bojarski

Really tired today and wasn’t feeling the front squats but glad I did them:
    115, 125, 125, 125(2), 115
I guess my hands are out of practice because that stretch in the first two fingers was killing me. Typing this HURTS.
Jacinto took me through his finisher as well:
    65# barbell
    5 rounds of the following:
    6 squat cleans
    6 push presses
    6 box jumps
    rest 1 minute
Didn’t write down my exact time but it was like 12 minutes including the rests.
Thanks, Jacinto, for the encouragement and timing my rests.

The mainsite quote today is AWESOME.
“Coach Greg Glassman, along with Capt. Brian Chontosh, USMC and Coach Mark Rippetoe, will introduce CrossFit to the American Society of Exercise Physiologists at their annual conference on Friday, April 3rd in Wichita Falls, TX. A special one-day CrossFit pass is available.”
