The Burpee Sprint
It’s been up less than a day, but the Dave Castro seminar is selling out fast. Sign up, stat, or risk missing out.
And, similarly, there are just a few slots left for the James “OPT” FitzGerald Q&A/lecture – by now, the WOD has sold out completely. Sign up while you can.
As we’ve said before, these events are open to anyone in the CrossFit community, not just CFNYC members. Further, CFNYC makes no money hosting these events; instead, we’re organizing the series because we think these speakers are super smart, because we think all of you would benefit hugely from their wisdom, and because we’re excited to hear these coaches speak ourselves.
FREE BEGINNERS’ CLASSES: Tuesdays @ 7pm (women-only, new time slot), Thursdays @ 8am & 7pm (new time slot), Saturdays & Sundays @ 10am. Click here for the schedule and to pre-register for a class.

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the burpee was named in the 1930s for American psychologist Dr. Royal H. Burpee, who developed the Burpee test, “a test devised by Burpee to measure agility and muscular co-ordination, in which the subject executes a series of burpees in rapid succession.”
