Getting Started

The best way to get a real sense of CrossFit is to stop by and take one of our free Intro Classes. Each includes some careful instruction on basic movements, a short CrossFit workout based on those movements, and a further explanation of how we think about fitness and the world.

Our FREE INTRO classes are held multiple times per week. Please click here for our current availability.

To attend a free Intro Class, you must sign up online in advance to reserve your spot. There are no drop-ins allowed for the free Intro Classes.

Free Intro Classes are suitable for all fitness levels. We know that trying a new workout class or gym can be intimidating, and we’ve built our Intro Classes to allow anyone to jump right in, regardless of the shape they’re in.

Please note that we’re currently holding ALL of our Intro Classes in our new space at 44 West 28th St., 2nd floor (between Broadway and Sixth Avenue). Please be advised that we have not yet completed shower build-out at this new location. (Students of the Intro Classes are more than welcome to walk the two blocks to our original location to shower and use our towel service if necessary.)

Elements Workshop

After trying out an Intro Class or two, most people are converts: they realize they’ve been wasting a lot of time in the gym, and that CrossFit will get them in the best shape of their lives, fast. The next step, then, is our Elements Workshop.

Elements is a six-session program that covers the basics of CrossFit. You’ll practice perfect form on the movements that make up our workouts, learn how to scale movements appropriately to your own individual current level, and start ramping up your fitness with a CrossFit workout at the end of each class.

We require all of our members to complete the Elements Workshop, so that they can safely, effectively, and confidently head into our Workout of the Day (“WOD”) classes: first “Beginner WOD” classes, then over time progressing to “Intermediate” and “Advanced” WOD classes when ready. At all stages, we’re tailoring our classes to our athletes’ skill level.

Your $299 enrollment fee includes six Elements classes, as well as 18 days of membership as soon as you complete Elements, so you can transition into our WOD classes. Elements Workshops are limited to no more than 6 athletes, to ensure that our coaches can provide the highest level of individual instruction throughout.

If your schedule does not fit for any Elements classes or you would prefer one-on-one attention for ease of learning, please contact us to set up Private Elements (costs $499, includes 18 days of membership) with one of our coaches.

NOTE: Some Elements workshops are being held at our original location (25 W. 26 St., 3rd floor) and some are being held at our new space (44 W. 28 St., 2nd floor). (The course description for your particular Elements Workshop will list which of the two locations you should go to.)
